Substation transformers are used in industrial plants, utility power stations or commercial buildings. Substation transformers are designed to be connected from overhead, underground or bolted to primary and secondary switchgear. Substation transformers are suitable for use in all environmental conditions. Environmentally friendly fluids are available making them eco-friendly. Substation transformers typically have side mounted bushings but can be designed to meet any special customer requirements. They are manufactured to meet the applicable ANSI/IEEE and NEMA standards. Transformers are designed to meet the Department of Energy (DOE) efficiency requirements when applicable.
